Weddings

First we meet and chat through what is most important to you and your partner and to outline your vision for the day.  It's our chance to get to know each other and begin to outline the day.  We can meet in person or via video call.

• I can advise you on options and the legal requirements.

• There is no obligations at this point.  It's important you both choose the celebrant that you feel comfortable with. 

Ready to lock it in??  Next we begin to plan your day.   I can advise you and provide creative input on the elements of your ceremony, how the day will look.  This is where we build all the elements you would like for the ceremony.  Having a clear vision ensures you get the day you have dreamt of.  I can help you write vows, talk through locations, and who will be involved.  You want this day to run smoothly and be stress free so you can enjoy every part of it.  So together we'll make sure that it's well planned.  What does this stage involve?

• 1-2 meetings to build your ceremony, including creative input into readings, vows, music, setting, if you'd like this.

• You will get vision document which summarises our discussions and then, following this, a detailed "run sheet" for the ceremony. 

• Advice on locations and involvement of those important to you.  

• Help with the legal requirements of your wedding licence.

• Access to me via text, phone and video call leading up to the day.

• The Wedding Ceremony  package is $550 for weddings in the Central Taranaki District (New Plymouth, Omata, Bell Block, Lepperton, Waitara, Inglewood).  

• For weddings in South or North Taranaki the cost is $590, plus travel @ 0.80 cents per kilometre.  For weddings outside Taranaki, the cost is $800, plus expenses and travel.   

• A  20% non refundable deposit paid to secure your date and time and to begin the planning phase.  The balance is to be paid 10 working days before your ceremony date.  

To ensure you are relaxed and confident about the day, we suggest a rehearsal of the ceremony, a day or two before.  I will be there to walk through the ceremony with you and make any last minute adjustments.       

• Work through the run sheet for the ceremony, preferably at the venue or face to face. 

• I'll help calm any nerves and build excitement.  

• Check that all the documentation is ready.

• Part of Wedding Ceremony package.

The day has arrived.  My job is to ensure it runs smoothly, and matches the vision you had when we first chatted. 

• Conduct the ceremony and I'm there for you before, during and after the ceremony.  

• All documentation is signed and sent away to the Registrar.

• I will print for you a beautiful copy of your ceremony script, as a keep sake.

• Travel for the day, outside of the Central Taranaki district (New Plymouth, Omata, Bell Block, Lepperton, Waitara, Inglewood) is charged at 0.80 cents per kilometre.  

• Any other additional elements, expenses will be discussed and confirmed before the big day.  

Sometimes a couple wants that little bit more. I can assist you along the journey with a range of add ons: 

• Want an Master of Ceremonies for the day?  I can help run the day, including speaking for all parts of the day, ensuring things run smoothly. This also includes orgnaising people on the day, so you don't need to.  Add on  $750.  

• Does the best man need help with his speech?  Like help with a thank you speech?  Want to write out your love story? I'm a published writer so I can help with this too.  Writing drafts, consulting with those involved and publishing a readable version:  $50 per hour (usually 2 hours of work).
